Celebrating over 25 years in the entertainment and technology industries, Shefik (https://shefik.info) is an accomplished industry insider, who was featured on PBS, SiriusXM, syndicated television programs, print media outlets, as well as internationally on TRT World (Turkey). He appeared as a background actor in numerous television and film productions for Warner Bros. Pictures, Paramount Pictures, NBC Studios, HBO, CBS, Max, Netflix, Paramount+, Hulu, Apple TV+, MTV, Peacock, Prime Video, FX, Investigation Discovery, and Disney Theatrical Productions, along with widely viewed music videos for Roc Nation Records, and other record companies.

Shefik held senior-level positions at many Fortune 500 companies and celebrated brands, including NBCUniversal, IBM, TIME, MTV World, Merck, Merriam-Webster, Columbia Law School, Wolters Kluwer, and others. A seasoned pro with a career background as a Lead Architect and Developer, Shefik is on the cutting edge of media, as he served as an Official Member of the Forbes Technology Council. He was also a Board Member of the Customer Experience Advisory Board at Rutgers University.

As a Technical Lead at NBC Sports and NBCUniversal, Shefik is currently leading the development of business critical, application-based systems for high-profile events worldwide, such as 2026 Winter Olympics (Milan and Cortina d’Ampezzo, Italy); 2024 Summer Olympics (Paris, France); 2022 Winter Olympics (Beijing, China); 2020 Summer Olympics (Tokyo, Japan); 2023 FIFA Women’s World Cup (Australia and New Zealand); and 2022 FIFA Men’s World Cup (Qatar), as well as marquee sporting events throughout the United States. While also at NBCUniversal, Shefik previously developed application-based systems for the television networks CNBC, Syfy, and Chiller.

As a videographer and producer, Shefik’s work was incorporated into television broadcasts and video productions for TIME magazine (where he also served as Technical Producer), The Washington Center, “Unsung” (TV One), TEDx, Broadway World, and a major television station in New York City. His photography was featured in print and online publications, such as The Independent (United Kingdom), Daily Mail (United Kingdom), Harvard Kennedy School Magazine, Playbill, Cumhuriyet (Turkey), Sportskeeda (India), China Press, as well as over 100 other websites in China, and around 100 television and radio outlets owned by Cox Media Group. His journalism was published in GQ South Africa.

Shefik is the recipient of over 40 industry awards (inclusive of 2 Telly Awards) for various media and technology projects, all of which he developed hands-on. He also serves as an ongoing judge for many industry competitions, such as the Children’s and Family Emmy Awards.

Shefik is also currently the Executive Producer and Host of the nationally syndicated radio show “Shefik presents Invocation” (https://invocation.co), which is broadcast on over 20 terrestrial radio stations and frequencies throughout the United States, as well as the internationally syndicated video series of the same name via notable outlets. The radio show currently has a total of over 1 million dedicated listeners per month. Additionally, Shefik is Producer and Host of the podcast “In Our Time with Sir Shefik”, produced in association with Harlem Film House. The podcast is an open door dwelling of news, politics, and entertainment.
