About
Kina N. Thomas serves as the Director of Launch Services at the NYC Department of Small Business Services (SBS), where she has dedicated 12 years to supporting small businesses in New York City. Throughout her tenure, Kina has worked across various departments, playing a vital role in helping entrepreneurs start, operate, and grow their businesses.
In her current role, she manages the WE NYC (Women Entrepreneur NYC) initiative, which is specifically designed to empower women in their entrepreneurial journeys. Additionally, she oversees the FastTrac Program, a comprehensive 10-session boot camp that equips entrepreneurs with the tools and resources needed to develop effective business plans and successfully launch their ventures.
A native New Yorker and proud Brooklynite, Kina holds a Master’s degree in Public Urban Studies and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Public Administration. She is also the founder of SipNPaint with Creativity LLC, where she and her team host engaging paint parties across New York and New Jersey.
Outside of her professional commitments at SBS and her creative endeavors, Kina enjoys traveling and dancing in her free time.
